LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East Conference has announced its 2024 Women’s Tennis - Volt Division All-Conference Teams. The All-Conference Teams are made up of six student-athletes representing singles competition and three doubles pairings with two separate All-Conference teams for this season. Three major awards have been handed out including Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
Five out of the six Volt Division institutions that sponsor Women’s Tennis were represented across the two All-Conference teams and major awards. Penn State Harrisburg had eight individuals and/or doubles teams across the two teams while St. Mary’s College had four individuals and/or teams represented, respectively.
Lancaster Bible College had two individuals and a doubles team while Penn State Abington had an individual and a doubles team on the All-Conference teams. Penn State Berks had an individual representing on the All-Conference team as well.

Allison Wootton (FY / Portage, Mi.) from Penn State Harrisburg has been named the 2024 United East Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year - Volt Division after leading the Nittany Lions to an undefeated season in league play. This is the second consecutive year that a Penn State Harrisburg women’s tennis student-athlete swept the Player and Rookie of the Year honors after Olivia Bandini accounted for both awards in 2023.
Wootton stepped into the #1 singles and #1 doubles team as a first year and had immediate success, accounting for a perfect 10-0 record across all matches in United East play. Across all competitions, Wootton went 15-1 playing on the top line in singles play and a perfect 16-0 in doubles play partnering with Breanna DeSantis. This season, Wootton was named the United East Women’s Tennis Player of the Week six times.
Sona Brymer guided the St. Mary’s College of Maryland to a 4-1 regular season in 2024 and the United East Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year award. This is the third United East Coach of the Year award for Brymer who previously won in 2023 for both the Men’s and Women’s teams.
