BALTIMORE, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women’s tennis team fell, 4-0, to eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University Friday afternoon in the Opening Round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship. The Seahawks conclude the season with a record of 17-7 and the title of United East Champions.
The Tartans went up early as they collected the doubles point with 6-0 victories at No. 2 and No. 3. CMU then earned a second team point with a win at No. 2 singles and closed out the match with two 6-0, 6-0 wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 flights.
Sarah Levit scored a game victory in her No. 2 singles match and Lily Ganjbaksh earned two game victories before her match went unfinished in No. 1 singles.
