Penn State Harrisburg Ready for Trip to NCAA Women's Tennis Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Tennis heard their name announced early on during the 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championship Selection Show this afternoon.  The Nittany Lions will be heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the campus of Carnegie Mellon University to begin NCAA play later this week.  This is the second NCAA Tournament appearance for the Harrisburg women’s’ tennis program; the first coming in the 2020-21 season.

Harrisburg (15-6) will take on Transylvania University (13-7) out of Lexington, Kentucky in the opening round of the tournament on Thursday afternoon at a yet-to-be-determined time.   The winner of the Penn State Harrisburg / Transylvania match will then face off against top-ranked and two-time defending national champions, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (22-1) out of Claremont, California.

On the other side of the bracket, North Central College from Naperville, Illinois (23-7) and Grove City (14-5) meet up in the opening round with the host #14 Carnegie Mellon University (13-6) awaiting the winner.

All match times are still to be determined and will be announced as soon as information is available.
