No. 9 Penn State Berks def. No. 8 University of Valley Forge, 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

The Nittany Lions were on the attack early and often, peppering the Patriot netminder at a tune of 15-1 shots. Two of those found the back of the net, including a 25th minute goal by Sebastian Restrapo that was assisted by Callan Stuck. The second goal of the day came right before the whistle for half as Keegan Redcay finished a pass from Terridine Grant.

Up 2-0 after the half, Berks added another in the 60th minute as Stuck converted on a shot. The lead went to 4-0 in the 81st minute as Nathan Fatkin notched his own goal off of a Redcay assist.

The Patriots didn’t give up though as they scored two quick ones in the following minutes, including one from Melvin Maldonado and one from Kellen Preston. The effort was too late though as the final whistle blew.

Valley Forge’s Jayce Blanton finished the day with seven saves in net while Josh Martin collected three saves on the Berks side.

No. 7 Cairn University def. No. 10 Wilson College, 3-1 (BOX SCORE)

Cairn’s first goal came at the 11 minute mark as Nathan Babyak threw in a ball to Alijah Miller who was able to toe it by the keeper. The Highlanders then doubled up their lead in the 35th minute as Miller collected a second goal with a ball over the Wilson netminder’s head.

After the half, Wilson cut into the lead using a nifty set piece that found Lenin Cinco’s head for a deflection into the far corner. But Cairn pulled ahead once again as Miller deked a defender at the 18 and slid one past the Wilson keeper to complete the hat trick. The 3-1 Highlander lead would hold until the final whistle.

Wilson’s keeper Logan Neves picked up four saves on the night including a PK stonewall.
