LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East has rolled out its Women’s Lacrosse preview for the 2025 season. The United East consists of five teams, with each program squaring off against one another in a 4-game conference season.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland hoisted the trophy last season, marking their third-straight conference title.
The winner of the final will be crowned United East Champion and earn the conference’s automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland (12-7, 4-0 UEC)
This season marks the fourth for head Coach Brittney Morris who is seeking her fourth title with the Seahawks. The path prior to conference play is dotted with plenty of talented opponents including Salisbury, Christopher Newport, Roanoke and York (all of whom are ranked in the national poll). The Seahawks will return standout Hailey Betch, who earned All-Region honors to go with her Championship MVP nod. In net, Allie Greeley looks to double down on a year after she took home Rookie of the Year honors in 2024. Colin Horton returns to the lineup after suffering an injury for most of last year as well.
Coach’s Outlook: “We anticipate a great year with a strong senior class leading the way. Our team has a great competitive spirit that has helped our fall and preseason prepare us for what is ahead. We are excited for a challenging non-conference schedule to lead us into our United East conference games and hopefully carry us far into the postseason!.”
Wilson College (9-5, 2-2 UEC)
The Phoenix made it to the Final last year and are looking to do just that and more in 2025. The squad will attempt to do so under new guidance as Paul Flohr starts his first season as head coach. He’ll have some strong returners though including Sage Lague whose 59 goals and 42 draw controls helped earn her a spot on the All-Conference First Team. Second Team All-Conference member, Emily Young, returns to the midfield while sophomore netminder Kaelyn Goff hopes to anchor the defense. Wilson will have plenty of competition prior to conference play as they take on Marymount, DeSales and Lycoming all during mid-February.
Coach’s Outlook: “The 2025 season will be a new start for the Wilson College Phoenix after losing several key players. Several players return including Sage Lague, Emily Young, Ellisa Gamby - Mickey and Kaelyn Goff in goal. There will be a lot of new faces and a new coaching staff looking to compete daily to get back into the conference play-offs.”
Bryn Athyn College (10-3, 3-1 UEC)
Bryn Athyn is looking to make a postseason push as the Lions bring back a loaded roster into the 2025 season. Two time Player of the Year and former Rookie of the Year, Shea Gormley, will head the offense as she looks to expand upon her 63 goal season last year. She’ll be backed by Kira Bradley, who garnered Defensive Player of the Year honors as she caused 32 turnovers in 2024. Anchoring the defense will be senior goalie Chloe Munyon who picked up All-Conference First Team honors last year. The 2024 Co-Coach of the Year, Ramona Walters will head the squad for the fourth year and has picked up some quality tune up contests in Neumann and Gwynedd Mercy.
Coach’s Outlook: “We are eager for spring and excited for another year of competition. The season is full of ups and downs, but we are ready for some sunshine and the challenge.”
Cedar Crest College (9-5, 1-3 UEC)
Coming off a season in which the Falcons registered their best record in 20 years, Cedar Crest is ready to make waves in 2025. Headed by Co-Coach of the Year Rylee Gould, the Falcons including back-to-back home games against Delaware Valley and Eastern Mennonite to open up the season. The midfield will be controlled by two veteran First Teamers in Maddie Graham and Kylah Demarest, who combined for 84 points a year ago. Abi Sipel will provide leadership on the defense as the former Defensive Player of the Year returns for her fourth season.
Coach’s Outlook: “Finished last season 9-5 which is the best program record on a season in over 20 years, first hosted playoff game with a win to make it to quarter finals, again CC lacrosse program has not seen a run like that in over 20 years. Key players like Ellie Terranova, Rachel Bilger and Jessica Shults have come in and impacted this program with their positive voices and work ethic that has helped create such a special bond within this team. However, aside from those named we would not have had the success we did without each and every one of us. We are a younger team that has completely bought into the growth behind this program over the last few years and without our entire unit, we would NOT have the current success we have seen over the last few seasons. The relationships that have been built within this team specifically is truly something special that will be cherished for a lifetime. We are looking to continue building on our success with resiliency and positive work ethic while managing being genuine good people in the world. The love I have for this crew is endless and I can't wait to see what is in store for us this 2025 season.”
Notre Dame of Maryland University (2-10, 0-4 UEC)
Notre Dame of Maryland will have a young team this season but sixth-year head Coach Kari-Lei Berry has high hopes for her squad. Sarah Generoso will play a major role in the midfield as she picked up a First Team All-Conference nod for the second-straight season in 2024. The team opens their schedule with a tough battle against Eastern that should prep them for a competitive conference schedule.
Coach’s Outlook: “I'm eager to see what this young team can achieve. We set some goals for this season, and I look forward to checking them off our list throughout the spring.”
