Wildcats Hold Top Spot in Men's Golf Preseason Poll

LATHAM, N.Y. -  The 2026 United East Men’s Golf Preseason Poll has been released with eight teams included in the rankings. Find the results below:

1. Penn College (7)
T2. Penn State Harrisburg
T2. Lancaster Bible College
T4. Penn State Berks (1)
T4. Rutgers University-Camden
6. Penn State Abington
7. Wilson College
8. Penn State Brandywine

After securing its third-straight United East Championship title last season, Penn College scooped up all seven of its possible first place votes in the preseason poll. The team looks a bit different from years past as perennial All-Conference recipients Peyton Mussina and Will Orwig have graduated but the squad still boasts names like Gunner Redmond, Brady Handy and Logan Gawlinski who all collected All-Conference honors in 2025. The Wildcats, led by three-time Coach of the Year, Rob Lytle, was victorious in the Championship preview this fall, edging out Harrisburg by two strokes.

Penn State Harrisburg and Lancaster Bible College share the number two spot after the two finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, at the Fall Championship Preview. Harrisburg’s Jacob Lotz collected All-Conference honors last season and tied for second in the Preview. The Chargers lost last year’s individual champion, Jake Rotelle, to graduation but first year golfer Jon Breinich showed some good swings in the fall season.

Penn State Berks collected the other first place vote and return junior Peyton Moyer who is hungry for the top spot after placing second last year just two strokes behind Rotelle.

This year’s men’s golf Championship will be held on April 24th and 25th at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg, Pa. Find the full men’s golf schedule here: MEN’S GOLF SCHEDULE
